IndiGo 6E Prime and Add-on Bundles Explained

As of October 2026, IndiGo still lists 6E Prime on goindigo.in. It bundles a limited standard seat at no extra cost, a snack combo of one food item and one beverage, and the Fast Forward service. IndiGo also lists 6E Seat and Eat, a seat plus snack combination. Neither can be bought with Flexi Plus, UpFront, corporate, SME or group fares.

IndiGo sells seats, snacks and priority services separately, and then also as bundles. The bundle names change now and then, so here is what IndiGo’s own pages say today and how to judge it.

Is 6E Prime still sold?

Yes. IndiGo still has a 6E Prime page on its website, titled as a seat, snack combo and Fast Forward service. The page also says IndiGo can change or withdraw the service without notice, so check the add-on screen when you book rather than trusting an older article. We have not found any announcement that 6E Prime has been discontinued or renamed.

Prices have appeared differently in different versions of IndiGo’s pages and they vary by route and date. We do not quote a rupee figure here. The add-on screen in your booking shows the price per passenger for your sector.

The simplest check is to run a search, pick your flight and fare, and look at the add-ons step. If 6E Prime or Seat and Eat is offered for your booking, it appears there with the price for each passenger. If it is missing, your fare is probably one of the excluded types listed below.

What does 6E Prime include?

According to IndiGo’s terms for the service, 6E Prime has three parts:

  • Seat: a limited number of standard seats are available at no extra cost with the bundle. Seats outside that limited set are priced separately.
  • Snack combo: one food item and one beverage, chosen when you buy. On a connecting itinerary, the snack is served on the longer sector. Pick a vegetarian item if you prefer; the options shown at purchase list what is available on your flight.
  • Fast Forward: IndiGo’s priority service, described on the 6E Prime page as part of the bundle.

Who cannot buy it: IndiGo’s terms say 6E Prime is not available for corporate bookings, SME bookings, Flexi Plus, UpFront or group fare bookings. Those fares are sold with their own inclusions. Read more in our guide to IndiGo UpFront.

What is 6E Seat and Eat?

6E Seat and Eat is a separate IndiGo page and a simpler bundle: a seat and a snack. IndiGo’s description says each passenger gets seat selection, with limited standard seats at no extra cost, plus one food item and one beverage chosen at purchase. The page says you can buy it on goindigo.in, the mobile site or the call centre, at booking or later.

The page also advertises a saving of up to 50 per cent. That headline depends on the fare, the timing and any loyalty tier discount, and IndiGo’s pages have shown different percentages over time. Treat it as an upper limit and compare the figure shown at checkout with the price of buying a seat and a snack separately.

Like 6E Prime, it is not available on corporate, SME, Flexi Plus, UpFront or group fare bookings.

What is the 24-hour rule for the snack?

IndiGo’s terms say the snack you picked is served only if you buy at least 24 hours before departure. If you buy later, up to 2 hours before a domestic flight or 4 hours before an international one, IndiGo serves a snack and beverage available on board instead of your selection.

Price the bundle per passenger before you add it, because a family pays once for each traveller who takes it.

Which IndiGo fares should I think about first?

The fare you choose matters more than the bundle. IndiGo’s fare names are Saver, Flexi Plus and UpFront, with Stretch and Stretch Plus for business class. IndiGo Lite exists only on IndiGo’s own site. The names are not interchangeable, so pick the fare that fits your baggage and change needs first.

On a fare that is not excluded, 6E Prime or Seat and Eat is one way to bundle a seat and snack. On Flexi Plus and UpFront, the bundle is not offered. Always compare the total with buying only what you need: a seat, a snack, or neither.

Common Questions

Is 6E Prime the same as 6E Seat and Eat?

No. IndiGo lists them on separate pages. 6E Prime adds Fast Forward to a seat and snack. Seat and Eat is a seat and snack only.

Can I buy 6E Prime after booking?

IndiGo’s 6E Seat and Eat page says it can be bought at booking or later, up to the cut-offs described above. The add-on screens on goindigo.in show whether the option is available for your booking.

Does 6E Prime include checked baggage?

IndiGo’s page describes seat, snack and Fast Forward only. Baggage is sold separately or comes with your fare. Check your fare’s allowance before you travel.

Can I choose a vegetarian snack?

Yes, snack options are shown at the time of purchase. Select a vegetarian item from the list for your flight.

Why can I not buy 6E Prime on my fare?

IndiGo’s terms exclude Flexi Plus, UpFront, corporate, SME and group fare bookings. If your booking is one of those, the option will not appear.

Is the bundle worth it?

It depends on price. Compare the bundle with the cost of a seat and snack bought separately on your sector. If you only want a seat, the plain seat selection may be cheaper.
