IndiGo Cabin Baggage Rules 2026 — Quick Reference
Cabin allowance: 1 piece up to 7 kg, max 55 × 35 × 25 cm (L × W × H). Applies to all economy fares (Saver, Flexi, UpFront). IndiGoStretch Business Class: 12 kg cabin allowance.
Personal item: 1 additional item up to 3 kg, max ~45 × 35 × 20 cm (fits under seat). Laptop bag, handbag, small backpack qualify. BCAS one-bag rule strictly enforced since December 2024.
Dimensions Recap
- Main cabin bag: 55 × 35 × 25 cm = max 115 cm total (L+W+H)
- Personal item: ~45 × 35 × 20 cm (must fit under seat)
- Together: 1 cabin bag + 1 personal item (NOT 2 cabin bags)
Liquids in Cabin (BCAS Rule)
- Each container ≤ 100 ml
- All containers fit in 1 transparent re-sealable bag (1 L total)
- Exemptions: insulin, baby formula, breast milk, prescribed medication
Power Banks (DGCA Advisory 11 Nov 2025)
- Cabin only — NEVER in checked baggage
- ≤ 100 Wh: allowed, no approval needed
- 100-160 Wh: airline approval required (max 2)
- > 160 Wh: prohibited
- Cannot use/charge power bank during flight
- Must remain in seat pocket / under seat / on person — NOT in overhead bin
Items NOT Allowed in Cabin
- Knives, scissors, sharp tools (check-in only)
- Power tools
- Lighter fuel, butane
- E-cigarettes / vapes (BANNED entirely in India under E-Cigarettes Act 2019)
- Aerosols > 100 ml
