An airport “meet & greet” (also called meet-and-assist or VIP airport assistance) is a paid service where a uniformed agent receives you, helps with your bags, and walks you through check-in, security and boarding — or meets you on arrival. In India the main options are Adani’s Pranaam at Adani-run airports (Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram and more), Bengaluru Airport’s own Meet & Assist at Kempegowda (BLR is not an Adani airport), and Encalm’s Atithya at Delhi, Hyderabad and Goa. Independent providers such as Elite Assist cover other airports including Kolkata, alongside official porters. Paid packages typically start around ₹1,500 per person — but wheelchair and reduced-mobility assistance from your airline is free.

Airports can be overwhelming — long queues, heavy bags, confusing terminals, and a clock that never stops. That is why “meet and greet” airport assistance has quietly become one of the most-searched airport services in India, especially for elderly parents, first-time flyers, large families, and anyone with a tight connection. This guide explains exactly what these services are, who offers them at which airports, what they cost, and — importantly — what you should never pay for because it is already free.
If your goal is mainly to skip the queues rather than be escorted, also read our companion guide to airport fast-track & premium entry services in India.
What is an airport meet & greet service (and who actually needs it)?
A meet & greet is a personal-escort service. A trained agent meets you — at the kerb on departure, or at the aerobridge/arrivals hall on arrival — assists with your luggage, guides you to check-in, helps at security and immigration where permitted, and walks you to your boarding gate or onward transport. Many packages add a buggy (electric cart) ride through long terminals and lounge access.
It is genuinely useful if you are:
- Travelling with elderly parents or someone with reduced mobility who still wants a smooth, dignified experience
- A first-time or nervous flyer unsure of the airport process
- Carrying lots of luggage or travelling with young children
- On a tight connection and need help moving quickly between terminals
- A VIP/corporate traveller who values privacy and time
Adani Pranaam: the meet & greet at Adani airports
Pranaam is the official meet-and-greet service run by Adani Airports. It offers a personal escort, baggage handling, fast movement through formalities and, on higher tiers, buggy and lounge access. It is available for departures, arrivals and transits at major Adani-operated airports — Mumbai (CSMIA), Navi Mumbai (NMIA), Ahmedabad (SVPIA) and Thiruvananthapuram (TRV) among others. Adani also operates Lucknow, Jaipur, Guwahati and Mangaluru, so check the AdaniOne app or website for the current airport and package list before you book.

| What it is | Official Adani Airports meet & greet / VIP assistance |
| Packages | Tiered — e.g. Elite, Elite Plus, Platinum and Bespoke (inclusions rise with the tier; higher tiers add baggage handling, buggy and lounge access) |
| Indicative price | From around ₹1,500 per person for a basic departure assist; premium tiers cost more. Last-minute bookings (within ~8–24 hours of the flight) may add ~₹300 domestic / ₹500 international per person |
| How to book | AdaniOne app or website — enter your flight details, pick a package and pay |
Pranaam is the most established airport-operator-run option in India, which is its biggest advantage: you are booking directly with the airport, not a middleman. (Prices and packages change — always confirm the current figure on AdaniOne at the time of booking.)
Meet & greet at Bengaluru (Kempegowda / BLR) airport
A common point of confusion: Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) is not an Adani airport — it is run by Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL) — so Pranaam is not available there. Instead, BLR has its own official Meet & Assist and porter service, bookable through the airport (look for “Meet & Assist” / “Care by BLR” on the official bengaluruairport.com site). It covers a personal greeter, baggage help, and porter assistance (typically up to about 3 bags per guest) with support through check-in and security.
Several specialist meet-and-assist providers also operate at BLR for departures, arrivals and connections. Whoever you book, use an authorised, verified provider and arrange it in advance. For more on the airport itself, see our Bengaluru airport guide.
Meet & greet at Kolkata and other AAI airports
Airports run by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) — such as Kolkata (CCU), Chennai, Pune and many others — provide official porter service and free wheelchair/special assistance, while full “meet and greet” escort is offered by specialist providers — notably Elite Assist (from Travel Food Services), which runs a meet & greet at Kolkata (CCU) and several other Indian airports. There is strong demand for this at Kolkata in particular.
Because these are third-party companies, do your homework: book through a reputable, established provider with clear pricing and confirmation, and never hand cash to an unsolicited “agent” who approaches you at the airport (see the safety note below).
Encalm Atithya: Delhi, Hyderabad and Goa
Encalm, which also runs airport lounges, offers a meet-and-greet service branded Atithya — a personal welcome, baggage and buggy assistance and lounge access. It started at Delhi (T3) and has expanded to Hyderabad and Goa’s Manohar International Airport (GOX). If your priority is speed through the airport rather than a personal escort, our fast-track & premium entry guide compares those options.
Porter (coolie) service at Indian airports
Official porter (coolie) services are available at most Indian airports to carry your bags from the kerb to check-in or from the belt to your car. Authorised porters wear an official uniform and ID badge and charge airport-set rates (often per piece of luggage). Two rules: agree the charge before handing over your bags, and use only the official, badged porters inside the airport — not anyone who solicits you outside.
What you should NOT pay for: free airline assistance
This is the most important — and most overlooked — point. Under India’s DGCA passenger-facilitation rules, airlines must provide free assistance to passengers who need it: wheelchairs and reduced-mobility help, support for the elderly, expectant mothers, and unaccompanied minors. You request it when booking or at check-in, and it costs nothing. A paid meet & greet is a convenience/escort service on top of that — so if all you need is a wheelchair for an elderly parent, ask the airline first and do not pay a third party for it.
How to book a meet & greet safely (and avoid touts)
- Book in advance through an official channel — AdaniOne (Adani airports), the airport’s own website (e.g. BLR), the airline, or a verified concierge provider.
- Confirm what’s included — escort only, or baggage + buggy + lounge? Departure, arrival, or both? Per person or per group?
- Get written confirmation and a contact number for your greeter.
- Beware unauthorised touts — never follow an unsolicited “agent” or hand over your passport, boarding pass or cash to someone who approaches you at the kerb. Authorised staff are pre-arranged and identifiable.
Which meet & greet service is at which airport?
| Airport | Main official option |
|---|---|
| Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram (Adani airports) | Adani Pranaam (AdaniOne) |
| Bengaluru (BLR) | BLR Meet & Assist / Care by BLR + porters (bengaluruairport.com) |
| Delhi (T3), Hyderabad, Goa (GOX) | Encalm Atithya + lounge/buggy |
| Kolkata (CCU) & other AAI airports | Elite Assist (TFS) + AAI porter + free wheelchair assistance |
| Any airport — if mobility help is the need | Free wheelchair/special assistance from your airline (DGCA-mandated) |

Common Questions
How much does an airport meet & greet cost in India?
Paid escort packages typically start around ₹1,500 per person for a basic departure assist and rise with the tier (baggage, buggy, lounge). Last-minute bookings can add a small surcharge. Always confirm the current price on the official booking channel, as rates change.
Is wheelchair assistance at the airport free?
Yes. Wheelchair and reduced-mobility assistance, plus help for elderly travellers, expectant mothers and unaccompanied minors, is provided free by the airline under DGCA rules — request it when booking or at check-in. Don’t pay a third party for what the airline must provide free.
Is there a meet & greet service at Bangalore airport?
Yes — Bengaluru’s Kempegowda Airport (BLR) has its own official Meet & Assist and porter service (book via the airport’s website), and specialist providers operate there too. Note BLR is not an Adani airport, so Pranaam is not offered there.
Is there a meet & greet at Kolkata airport?
Yes. Elite Assist (from Travel Food Services) runs a meet & greet service at Kolkata (CCU), and the airport provides porter and free wheelchair assistance. Book the escort in advance through the provider’s official channel.
Which airports have Adani Pranaam?
Pranaam runs at major Adani-operated airports including Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Thiruvananthapuram. Adani also operates Lucknow, Jaipur, Guwahati and Mangaluru — check the AdaniOne app for the current list and packages.
Can I book meet & greet for an arrival, not just departure?
Yes. Most services offer arrival assistance (you’re met at the aerobridge or arrivals hall and escorted out), departure assistance, or both as a round-trip package.
Is a meet & greet worth it?
If you’re escorting elderly parents, flying for the first time, juggling lots of luggage or racing a tight connection, the time and stress saved usually justifies it. For a fit solo traveller who just wants speed, a fast-track-only option may be cheaper.
